Together, we can improve access to water for many people
In many places in the world, water is the most needed commodity for livelihood and socio-economic development. Having water year-round, our project is intended to provide productive instruments to rural areas as a key strategy for the economic empowerment of women by combating poverty. There is therefore a need for opportunities in supporting women within the context of climate change that has increased negative impacts and jeopardized their household livelihood and the education of the girls and sometimes resulting in a complete withdrawal of the girls from school.
A Fruitful Harvest
Women empowerment project throughout new solar power irrigation systems has increased vegetable productions in the villages of Kamsi, Kougny, and Djomga located in the Centre-West, Mouhoun, and Sahel regions of Burkina Faso, respectively. The regional team from Community Building Group in Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina Faso has conducted a series of field monitoring and provide technical support to the project beneficiaries..
